Hotspring + White Temple + Chedi Luang Temple + Golden Triangle + Opium Museum + Mae Khong Boat  CMR 001

We will pick you up from your Chiang Mai hotel at 7.30 am and we will drive approximately 3.5 hours north to Chiang Rai. The main road winds through the mountains and past beautiful scenery.

We will take the journey slowly and stop at natural hot springs, a good spot to take a morning cup of coffee before heading  north onwards to visit the famous Wat Rong Khun, frequently referred to as The White Temple.

For lunch we will have the traditional northern Thai dishes at a local restaurant

Next, we will continue to Chiang Saen which is an ancient city and  situated on the banks of the mighty Mekong River and was once the site of an important northern Thai kingdom and much surviving architecture and Buddha images can be found in this area.

Here, we will take you to visit one of the better preserved temples - Wat Chedi Luang. Then, we’ll head onwards by a short driving from Chiang Saen to the Golden Triangle, a meeting points of Myanmar, Thailand and Laos.

Here we will take you to enjoy a short but interesting history of the area at Opium Museum. After that we will take a private boat trip across the Mekong River to the Laos island of Don Sao. 

Then, we will return to Chiang Mai and drop you off at your hotel around 5.30 p.m
